What to Expect

What To Expect

Thanks for checking us out online. We’re excited to have you join us during one of our upcoming weekend services.  Grace Community Church is made up of people of all ages and from all walks of life—including first-time church goers and others looking for a new church family.  We understand that visiting a church can be intimidating, so we want to give you a heads-up so you know what to expect.

Here is what you can expect when attending one of our services:

Be Yourself

When you visit Grace Community Church, we invite you to be yourself and make yourself comfortable.  Feel free to grab a coffee in our church cafe or tea in the lobby. Dress as always, casual and relaxed. You will be greeted as you arrive and can ask for assistance from any of our ushers.  At the Information Center, you can pick up a bulletin that explains how to get connected, along with other updates from ministries at our church.

Check in the kids

If you have children, you will want to check them into their classes before the service begins—we suggest arriving 5 minutes early so you don’t feel rushed.  Our nursery, preschool, and grade school leaders are fantastic and are committed to providing a safe and fun place for your children. Junior high and senior high students are invited to classes during the 9:45 am service.

The Service

During each service, we will sing a few songs, someone will welcome you and will share 3-4 important things, there will be a sermon that focuses on the Bible and how it applies to your life, and then we will close with 1-2 songs.  After the service ends, you can hang out and meet some people.

Participate at your pace

You can choose to sing, pray, talk at your own pace.  There’s no pressure to participate.  Our greatest desire is that you experience God while here.  If you have questions, feel free to pull aside any of our ushers or ministry staff for assistance.
