Who We Are

What We Believe

What we believe or reject about God influences the way we live our lives. Everyone believes in something or someone in order to find purpose and value. Some believe that wealth will bring happiness and security; and others search for value and acceptance in their relationships. We must all wrestle with the legitimacy of our beliefs when we are faced with suffering, loss, and ultimately death.

Christians believe in a set of truths, which we call Doctrines. These Doctrines define and distinguish our faith from other religions and allow for unity between followers of Jesus.  At Grace Community Church, we hold to six truths as our Doctrine of faith—knowing there are many other important topics that the body of Christ must wrestle with. We strive for unity in these other areas, acknowledging that what God has made clear in scripture still allows room for a diverse and wonderful community of believers.

These six doctrines establish what we constitute as the Christian faith.

Grace Community Church has a formal Doctrinal Statement that outlines our beliefs. Below you will find our six doctrinal statements that have been written out for you to study as a devotional.  Along with each doctrine’s explanation, there are a list of questions for you to think about, followed by the formal doctrinal statement at the bottom.
