Joni & Friends Updates:

“Our Joni and friends short-term mission team completed a wonderful week of serving families with disabilities. Each team member was able to help campers participate in activities such as hayride, mini golf, talent show, hymn sing and meeting and greeting friends new and old. Team members also encouraged and gave support to parents throughout the week. We had a lot of fun as we followed John 15:8, to bear much fruit for the Lord! Thank you for your prayers.”

Our Joni & Friends team arrived at Twin Rocks Friends Camp in Rockaway Beach, Oregon for their family retreat! Here's an update from our team:

“We have finished up a day and a half of training and campers all arrived yesterday afternoon. Our theme is Bountiful Harvest and our theme verse is John 15:8. We have 40 families we are serving this year. Please continue to pray for everyone’s health and safety and that everyone would experience the love of Jesus through us as we accept and celebrate everyone’s uniqueness!”

Joni & Friends Short Term Team 2024

Since 1979 Joni and Friends has committed to reaching and serving people with disabilities with practical help and the saving love of Jesus.

The Joni and Friends International Disability Center in Agoura Hills, California serves as the administrative hub for ministry programs around the world. With every wheelchair and Bible delivered, every retreat and respite event held, and every church mobilized to integrate and honor people with disabilities, Joni and Friends follows the call of Jesus found in Luke 14:

“Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.… Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full” (Luke 14:21, 23, NIV).

At Joni and Friends, we value each person as an image-bearer of God, worthy of dignity and respect! We create a rich, Christ-centered environment at each Family Retreat that is safe and accepting for every member of the family.

We have the opportunity to go and assist Joni & Friends in fulfilling their calling by working at their Family Retreat on the Oregon Coast, June 17th - 21st. Family Retreat is designed to serve families living with disability. The families get to enjoy a fun, Christ-centered camp environment that is safe and accepting for each member of the family. During this time of respite, they will build lasting memories and find renewed hope as they take part in Bible study, accessible activities, and opportunities to connect with other families who face similar challenges.
